WNY’s premiere adoption event showcases hundreds of animals in need of a home

Local animal rescues and shelters, along with WNY’s pet loving community, are coming together to help save the lives of homeless pets in Buffalo, thanks to the WNY’s Furtastic Adopt-A-Thon.

It’s taking place at the Eastern Hills Mall inside the former BFLO Store home located in Williamsville from 10 am – 3 pm on Saturday, January 14th.

Hope Rises Founder Kate Glaser with event founder, Tina Chaudhry and Julie Starr of Buddy’s Second Chance

This event is a one-stop adoption experience for potential adopters looking to fall in love (and they will!) with their new best friend. Though any potential adopter can look and meet the dogs and cats in need, it is up to the particular rescue to determine application and meet and greet rules.

Every adopter will go home with a goodie bag from Milk Bone and the first five adopters will receive a special care package from sponsor, Tito’s Handmade Vodka!

President of the Adopt-A-Thon, Tina Chaudhry says that the fact that millions of pets end up in shelters in North America alone is the driving force behind the execution of this event.

“With your help, this event builds awareness to the plight of homeless pets and helps to save many, many lives.”

Since this event started, it has helped to put 500+ cats and dogs into the hands of loving, forever homes.
