After baby was severely injured, family makes large donation to Shriners Hospital

#HopeRises has been posting about baby Maverick since a tragic accident left him severely injured on Easter Sunday. Maverick was just 7-months-old when his grandmother’s dog bit him in the face, most specifically to his ear and cheek.
Despite this rough road, the family has always considered their first priority to be caring for Maverick. But they are also passionate about giving back.
At Mav’s recent benefit to gather crucial funds for medical bills, the family collected toys and essentials for Shriners Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, where Maverick was Mercy Flighted for lifesaving emergency medical care.

“More than 400 donations from all over our community will go to families and children that stay at the hospital,” says Erika Shaw, Maverick’s mother.
“This is so amazing and will help so many people. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”
If you wish to donate to Maverick as he continues to recover, reach out to Hope Rises today. We will put you in touch with all of the details.
