After extreme devastation overtook Australia, when brush fires broke out across the lands, communities around the globe are coming together to do their part to give back in a loving way. One of those caring communities is Buffalo, NY, hosting give back fundraisers to rally crowds thousands of miles away to desire to help the many animals impacted by this tragedy.
The Pro Zoo Board of the Buffalo Zoo is collaborating with Community Beer Works and the Aquarium of Niagara in hosting a Happy Hour to help raise funds for the Australia Wildfire relief fund. The event will be held on Thursday February 13th from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at Community Beer Works located at 520 7th Street in Buffalo. Cost of admission is $10 per person. Features of the happy hour include beer, basket raffle, live music and much more. All the proceeds raised will go to support the Buffalo Zoo Australian Wildlife Relief fund which will be donated to the Victoria Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund.
The Buffalo Zoo and the Pro Zoo board are dedicated to raising funds for all animals around the world. Australia’s wildfires have decimated habitats and killed over one billion animal, and that number is only growing. Australia is home to more than 300 native species of mammals. It has been estimated alone that a third of koalas have already been killed in the deadly fires or as a result of the smoke.
All the funds raised will be used for critical care and long-term recovery of Australian wildlife. The Buffalo Zoo continues to be champions of wildlife conservation, and it is our duty to help in any way possible. Supporting the Buffalo Zoo is supporting wildlife conservation. We understand that the endangerment of wildlife across the world affects all of us. Help us in supporting the wildlife of Australia.
