The owner of Blessings Bakery out of East Aurora heard about a mother, who was in need of a special cake for her teenage daughter and sprang into action to make it happen.
Nicole Turner Malczewski, sent this story to Hope Rises – what a beautiful act of kindness!
“I met Jamie {the mother} through mutual friends. She shared with us over coffee that her entire world seemed to be crashing down. From losing her job, to getting into a car accident, and a graduation party just days away for her daughter that she was struggling to afford. Unfortunately, she had someone lined up to make her daughter’s high school graduation cake, and it fell through.
So, we all rallied to help make this graduation the absolute best celebration!
I took on the responsibility of getting the cake for her daughter, Faith, who so incredibly was graduating an entire year early, due to her devotion to her grades.
Jennifer, my friend and owner of Blessings Bakery, saw my plea and offered to not only make the cake, but also offered to donate it entirely. If this isn’t God, I am not sure who it could be. To bring all of these people together, many of us working together as strangers, and be a blessing to one another is nothing short of incredible.
I wasn’t even supposed to be at the coffee get together, but something told me I needed to be. I am grateful to be part of something much larger than me and live in a community of such AMAZING women.”
As you can tell, Faith loved her graduation cake and the entire celebration with her loved ones, thanks to Blessings Bakery. #HopeRises
