This one gets personal for us. The shooting rampage in #Buffalo by a monster who targeted the Black community happened in our hometown - a home we love and a home that taught us the meaning of kindness. Today, as we helped with food distribution for @buffalocommunityfridge with @bcbswny + @buffalobills at a location near the scene, this man walked up to us. He said: "I've got $1,000+ to spend on food, formula and anything needed...can you help me spend it?" We hopped in our trucks and collected carts and carts, full of necessities, and wiped out the store's entire formula stash. We then returned back to the distribution site. This gentleman didn't want us to recognize him. We finally pulled his name out of him. Tom. He told me, "I couldn't just sit outside or plant flowers in my yard today. I just got in my truck and drove. And I knew I could help in some way." Tom helped heal our hearts today. Seeing so many people gather today to support others helped heal our hearts, too. Our city will remain broken but there are many Toms out there. Look for the helpers. Please pray for those hurting 🙏🏼🙏🏾🙏🏿 #BuffaloStrong
